Our goal is for more shipping packaging to be sorted correctly and get a chance at a new life. That is why you get a reward for doing the right thing, once your parcel has arrived and you have emptied it. Scan the shipping label in the Bower app, drop the packaging off in the right place and claim your reward.

How it works

Five steps, about two minutes, then your reward is on its way to your account.

    Download the Bower app

    Free, for both iPhone and Android. You'll find it in the App Store and on Google Play.

    Create an account

    One email address and you're in. Under a minute, promise.

  3. 3

    Scan the shipping label

    Point the camera at the label on the packaging itself. The app recognises it right away and shows you what it's worth.

    Sort it right and confirm

    The app shows you the nearest place to drop the packaging off. Confirm once it's there and your recycling is registered.

  5. 5

    Cash out

    The money collects in the app. Move it to your bank account whenever you like, or pass it on to charity.

Nope. The app is free, there's no subscription, and we take no fees when you cash out your reward.
It depends on the packaging. As soon as you've scanned it you'll see exactly what it's worth, before you have to do anything else.
It's the label with your address on it, on the outside of the packaging. Leave it in place until you've scanned it, or the app will struggle to tell what it's looking at.
Make sure the whole label is in frame and there's reasonable light. Still playing up? Message us in the chat inside the app, we answer quickly.
Under Rewards in the app you can move your balance to your bank account. If you'd rather pass it on to charity, that works too.
